The submersible basin mixer system leverages Fairbanks Morse’s expertise in wastewater lift station products, providing a complete solution to solids buildup. Rather than spending maintenance budgets on frequent wash-downs of problem lift stations, the FBM20 and FBMX20 series are designed to break up solids and grease that commonly float at the top of the lift station and interfere with proper operation of equipment such as float controls and lift-outs. The basin mixer will also help to prevent the lift station from going septic during periods of low activity. The mixer features various mounting options, which allow it to be placed at any elevation or angle to target trouble spots in an installation, and includes a custom rail system that allows for ease in maintenance.
The FBM20 and FBMX20 Series mixers feature dual mechanical seals with an internal moisture sensor that detects the presence of moisture in the oil chamber. An additional lip seal is provided to keep debris from gathering around the propeller. The basin mixer also features a dependable, oil-cooled motor that efficiently dissipates heat, lubricates bearings, and locks out damaging moisture. The motor is VFD duty rated to allow for variations in mixing velocity. The FBM20 and FBMX20 are available in 1150 RPM and 1750 RPM versions and the FBMX20 is CSA hazardous location approved. The variable speed control panel includes an integrated variable frequency drive with a programmable timer for mixer control as well as monitoring functions for shaft seal condition.
